Late Antique and Medieval Europe, Early Modern Europe, Modern Europe, Tudor/Stuart Britain

What is your favorite class to teach?
Tudor/Stuart Britain

Do you have any hobbies?
Hiking, birding, following collegiate and professional football, English and Irish literature, film, choral singing

What do you like most about Christendom?
Teaching students who are genuinely interested in the history of the world they inhabit

What are your areas of expertise and/or research?
Early modern Europe, British History, English Reformation, Church History

What kind of professional activities and associations are you active in?
I have presented research at various academic conferences in the United States and Canada; these have included the Midwest Renaissance Conference, Sixteenth Century Society Conference, and the International Medieval Congress. I am a member of the American Historical Association, American Society of Church History, Sixteenth Century Society, American Catholic Historical Association, and the Society for Reformation Research.
