Fred Gruber ('06) is happily studying in Rome at the Pontifical Gregorian University and living at the Pontifical North American College, preparing for the priesthood for the diocese of Pittsburgh, his home diocese. Fred thinks it has been great to be in Rome visiting many churches and collecting papal blessings, and occasionally meeting up with the students from Christendom's semester in Rome program.

After four years with the federal judiciary, Angela Pfister ('98), has joined the law firm, Miller Johnson, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as an associate in its litigation practice group. This is actually her first Grapevine submission, so congratulations are in order!

Kate (Power) and Steve Tyndall are proud to announce the arrival of their baby girl, Anna Frances, pictured on the right. She was born mid-November in Melbourne, Australia weighing 6lb 13 oz. This is baby number one for the couple! All are very happy and thrilled with this beautiful addition to the family. Contact details for Kate are: kmpower@yahoo.com.

Maria Bissex ('02), in addition to continuing her work as a music teacher, has also started a business as a Creative Memories consultant, helping people display their photos and celebrate their memories with albums, digital Storybooks, photo gifts and more. For those of you near Reston, VA, Maria is having a Christmas Open House on Saturday and Sunday December 6 and 7, or check out her website at www.mycmsite.com/mariavbissex for great photo products and Christmas specials. Even if you're not particularly interested in all of the above, feel free to come to the open house anyway to celebrate St. Nicholas Day, by emailing Maria at mariavbissex@gmail.com (business) or muliermvb@hotmail.com (personal). She wishes everyone a very blessed Advent!

Danny Schnieble ('01) and his wife Michelle have a 2 year old daughter, Hannah Julliette, and one more on the way due mid February! Danny currently works for a computer company called SSI with 5 Christendom Alums, Greg Bodoh, Dominic Bodoh, Thomas McGraw, Chuck Shunk and Sylvia Smith. He also performs and writes music on the side. Danny's latest music project is a Catholic Childrens CD, called Sing Little Children. You can go to his website to preview it. http://www.fossilmusic.com/singlittlechildren

Jim & Michelle (McCoy '95) Hoeper along with Cecelia (5-1/2), Victoria (3-1/2) and Kolbe (16 mo.) are happy to announce they will be adding a new member to the family. Michelle is expecting #4 and hopes to deliver the end of May...or VERY early June! Any prayers for a healthy baby would be much appreciated!

On October 24th, Andy and Mindy McDonald ('05) welcomed their 5th son into the world. Raphael Bernard McDonald weighed 7lbs. 15 oz and was 19 3/4 inches long. He joins big brothers Seth, Dominic, Kieran, and Peter who happily welcomed him even though they wanted a sister. For the record we are not "trying for a girl", and yes, they are ALL ours.

Siobhan O’Connor (‘05) recently fulfilled a childhood goal by participating in one of Buffalo's holiday traditions – the Turkey Trot, which happens to be the oldest continuously-run foot race in the US. Siobhan's Turkey Trot experience was enhanced by the support of her family, especially Flannery O'Connor (Class of 2008), who got up early on Thanksgiving morning to come out and cheer her on. Siobhan credits her Christendom training as a major aid in preparing her for this race. Although the College did not provide official track & field training, Siobhan did gain a considerable amount of experience in running around while she was a student and then again when she worked for Dr. O’Donnell during the past three years. Siobhan also received inspiration for this race from her visit with Margaret-the-Marathoner Ginski Kay (Class of 2005), which occurred while Siobhan was living in the Boston area this Fall. Margaret and Scottie's newborn daughter, Philomena, is already preparing for her first Boston Marathon!

A recent siting of Christendom alumni occured on November 29 in Annapolis, Maryland when Marie Miller and Claire O'Reilly ('07) showcased their talents as the opening act for eric Scott at Ram's Head Tavern on November 29. Claire blended the beautiful tones of her classical harp with Marie's guitar, making it a unique and beautiful combination. To check out her music, and to find out when future shows are, go to http://millersisterscafe.com Those who came out to show their support included alumni Danielle Ampi, Elli Ampi, Danielle Lussier, Mandy Hain, Kathleen McKinnon, and many more, including several current Christendom students.

Peter and Megan (Anderson '03) Gray are happy to announce the birth of their first son, Thomas Joseph Gray. Tommy was born in the beginning of December in the wee hours of the morning, weighing 9 pounds, 9 ounces and measuring 22 inches. The new family is doing great and Tommy is pictured on the right at one day old.

November 5-13, 2008 Danielle Lussier ('07) traveled to the Mediterranean island of Malta on official business. She was sent by Human Life International to give a presentation to a group of educators and statesmen on Abstinence Education and the philosophy behind it. Danielle describes it as a phenomenal experience, and she very much enjoyed traveling abroad again with all of the opportunities it afforded her.
