Ann
Schneible ('04) is just getting ready to finish up her
second year at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross
here in Rome, Italy, where she is working towards her STL
in Social Communications. In spite of the fact that she has
been madly busy, it has been an amazing year! When she is
not studying, she volunteers at the Centro San Lorenzo lay
center, has gone twice to proclaim the faith to the prisoners
in Rebibbia prison, and was part of the official palm-carrying
procession on Palm Sunday. She is set to complete her studies
in February, 2011, but is becoming more and more inclined
to stick around this side of the pond for a while after .
. . Please keep her in your prayers as she moves along the
path that God has laid out for her!

Kateri
Schmidt ('05) has two items for Grapevine readers, the
first being sent in a week before the second - which was a
very exciting surprise! First: she recently traveled to Cozumel,
Mexico with a girlfriend, and they stayed for 6 days at the
Park Royal, a time share hotel on the western coast of the
island! The climate was perfect, 80 and sunny most of the
time. Cozumel is a small island off the coast of Mexico with
many things to keep one busy for 6 days: Mayan ruins, snorkeling,
diving, great road around the coastline (cheap car rentals),
and lots of private beaches. The second picture corresponds
to her second bit of news, and that is that she is to Richard
Ambrow. He proposed after the Easter Vigil! He is an amazing
man, the answer to many prayers!
From
Niall and Sherry (Spring) O'Donnell: William Andrew
was born on February 8 (9 lbs. 4 oz.) amidst the record east
coast snowstorm. We made it to the hospital despite the insanity
of the roads. He is growing like a weed and will soon catch
up to his brothers, Jude and Patrick.
Rick
Sadowski ('06) has a new job with Students for Life of
America as the Assistant Director. The mission of Students
for Life of America is to: educate pro-life college students
about the issues of abortion, euthanasia, and infanticide;
identify pro-life student leaders; equip college pro-lifers
with the training, skills and resources to be effective and
successful; promote student activity to other local, college
and national groups. Their website is http://www.studentsforlife.org
Michael
and Bunny (Martell) Cerny ('04) and their two oldest,
Gerard (2 yrs) and Meg (14 mos), are proud to announce the
birth of Francesca Teresa Marie on March 31st. She weighed
9 lbs. 1 oz., was 22 1/4 in. long and was born at home. Mom
and baby are doing well! Gerard and Meg love their new baby
sister and give her kisses every chance they get. (They may
not look excited in this Easter Sunday picture, but I think
they were getting tired of the flash and didn't understand
that they needed to smile for the 10th time in a row!) Francesca
is truly an Easter blessing! Thank you, to those of you who
kept us in your prayers!
Niki
(Calio) and Patrick MacDougall (both '06) would like to
announce the arrival of their new addition to their family!
Annelise Katherine MacDougall was born at 1:27pm on March
8, weighing 7lbs, 11oz measuring 19 3/4 inches. Everyone is
doing great, and as you can see from the picture, Marie (22
months) is a very proud big sister!
James
and Laura (Williams) Ross ('05) are proud to announce
the arrival of their 4th child, Gabriel Scott, on March 18th.
He was 8lbs 12oz and 21.5" long. Older siblings Jax (3.5yrs),
Grace (2yrs) and Abigail (13mo) are so proud and have been
showering little Gabe with affection. Favorite activities
with the newest family member include taking turns singing
made up songs, rocking him gently, sharing favorite toys with
him when he cries, and checking out his belly-button.
Daniel
and Sarah Delaney ('07) are pleased to announce the arrival
of thier first child, Lucy Margaret Delaney, born February
24th 2010. She's a very alert and healthy baby and in daddy's
words "she's the best baby in the world." We thank
all those who have kept our little family in their thoughts
and prayers. We look forward to the many happy years ahead
with our sweet little girl.
Megan
(Weber) Alger ('09) and Stephen Alger were
married on August 19th, 2009 in Wahpeton, ND at St. John's
Catholic Church. The wedding could not have been more perfect
and lots of family and friends from all over the world were
there (literally, as the maid of honor came from France and
one of the groom's men from Japan - Philip O'Neill). Megan
is now happily living in Augusta, Georgia and they are expecting
a little one around June 4, 2010!
