On
October 30th Megan (Von Ehr) Woyak ('08) and Matt Woyak
were married at All Saints Church in Dallas, Texas. They had
a beautiful wedding day and were surrounded by close family
and a number of college friends from both Christendom and
RIT (in NY). They surprised most of their guests by having
a Virginia reel at the reception. The joy of their wedding
day has continued each and every day since then and they send
well wishes to all newly weds and engaged couples!
Derek
and Bethany (Zuniga) Rogers could not be happier to announce
the birth of their BABY GIRL: Kateri Joy. This little blessing
came two weeks late on May 20th, 2011 after 24 hours of labor!
She weighed 8lbs 8ounces and was 21 3/4 inches long. Both
mom and dad are simply enjoying falling in love with her!
The new family currently lives in Manassas, VA.
Joe
and Emily (Griswold) Sparks ('07) received a another
gift from St. Joseph this year. Gabriel Joseph Sparks was
born on March 19, thus ensuring that despite his Lenten birthday,
he will always be able to party. All are doing well. Older
brother Joseph Scott is thrilled to have a playmate, and welcomed
his Irish twin with an enthusiastic beep on the nose. Both
boys celebrated their first Easter last month. God is good!
Andrew
and Julie (Fox) Fier (both graduates of '01) just celebrated
their 10th year anniversary in May! Their daughter, Isabella,
celebrated her first birthday on June 1st. To the right you
will find the picture of Isabella at her birthday party.
Nicholas
& Heidi (Eubanks) Oligny (both '06) welcomed their
third child, Daniel Joseph, on March 31. He weighed 5 lbs.
11 oz. Rachel (almost 4) and Jacob (2) loved him from the
moment they saw him.
Garrett
and Maggie (McGlynn) DeMarco ('07) welcomed identical
twin sons Anthony Joseph and Thomas Augustine (pictured on
the right) to their family on March 8, 2011. Weighing in at
7 lbs each at birth, the twins promise to catch up quickly
to big brother Peter (18 months)!
Greetings
from Michael and Bunny (Martell) Cerny ('04) and family:
Just thought we'd share our Easter picture (kids pictured
from left to right: Meg, Gerard and Francesca) and some good
news. Baby #4 is due in September. We're very excited, though
we know it's going to be super busy around here with 4 little
ones three years old and younger. We're also trying to sell
our house and find a new one in the NW Kansas City area, so
any prayers you can send our way in that regard are much appreciated.
Hope everyone is well, and if you're passing through Kansas
City feel free to drop us a line: bunaboo@gmail.com
Andy
and Jenny Day ('06) are proud to announce the birth
of their first child! Andrew Benedict Day was born on May
15, 2011. Andrew weighed in at 8 lbs 12 oz. Mommy and baby
are doing great! Please join the Day family, who currently
reside in Florida, in their prayers of thanksgiving!
Jennifer
O'Gorman Flippen (98') is excited to share her unforseen
entrepreneurial success. She has opened an online shop called
StAnnesPixies on a website called Etsy (Etsy is a website
dedicated to all handmade items). Yes, her store name is unusual
and was created with the idea that she would sell little fairy
dolls but wanted to take St. Anne as her patron being that
she is the patron of housewives and needlework. Soon after
she opened she adapted her designs to make little saints and
then decided to paint wooden peg saints to make something
"easier". She is so grateful that as of April she
has had over 450 sales since opening in January of 2010!!
She knows that Our Lord definitely has His hand in this. So,
she sells Catholic toys and saint dolls with the occassional
fairy. She is so grateful to be able to help support her family
from home! Here is the website:

Thomas
and Audra (Powderly) Cole ('04) are pleased to announce
the birth of their daughter, Marie Therese Cole. She was born
in Warrenton, Virginia on 14 April 2011, weighing 8 pounds
5 ounces, and measuring 22 inches in length. Marie Therese
was baptized on 20 April 2011, with her uncle, Lieutenant
Andrew Cole, USMC, ('09), as the Godfather. Both mother
and daughter are doing very well, indeed!
