Crusader Rugby

sports
The Christendom Rugby program began from humble beginnings as a student founded club which later was brought into the sponsorship of the Christendom Athletic program.

Different from most rugby programs the team is a varsity sport sponsored by the college in which all the rugby players strive to follow the student athlete code of behavior that strives for excellence in everything from the classroom and chapel to on the pitch. The Crusader Rugby program has enjoyed much success over its history, already one of the most popular sports on campus. The team is made up of a men from all different paths coming together for a common pursuit of excellence in the game they all love!

Under 1st year head coach Theo Smith the team looks to continue its streak of winning seasons in the 2013 season.

Mr. Theo Smith - 1st Year

Theo hails from the Northeast having grown up in the fishing world. A rugby player his whole life he travelled around Asia before attending and graduating from Franciscan University of Steubenvill. While there Theo formed incredible ties with his mates on the pitch and has been around rugby ever since. Theo joins the Crusader coaching staff for the 2013 season. Theo and his wife and one child live locally where he works in the wine-making business. Christendom is very excited to have Theo take the reins of the very successful Rugby program and hopefully continue to build on what has been set in motion.
