Crusaders Crush American University Eagles in Rugby
February 26, 2013
Playing on the former Warren County Middle School football field, the Christendom Crusaders played one of their best games ever, bringing home a win against a very seasoned and tough team. Tries were scored by seven different Crusaders— Larry Urgo, Dean Dewey, Pat Audino, Rob Hambleton, Conor Knox, Sean Salmon, and Rob McKay.

This year's team boasts three international students: two from Ireland (Sean and Tommy Salmon) and one from England (Robert McKay). Additionally, the team has been boosted by the addition of one of this year's Thomas S. Vander Woude Athlete-Scholar Scholarship recipients, freshman Patrick Audino, whose high school team won the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union state championship last year.
The Crusaders next game will be held at home against Hampden-Sydney College on March 1at 6pm. Come out and cheer on the team!
