On Sunday, November 24, Christendom College will consecrate itself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary, something it has been doing every year since 1992 on its patronal feast of Christ the King.  The college was founded under the patronage of Christ the King and under the mantle of Our Lady of Fatima, and as such, has a deep devotion to both.

"It is imperative that we continue to re-consecrate our hearts and minds to Our Lord and Our Lady each year," says college president Dr. Timothy O'Donnell.  "We have seen so many great fruits as a result of this act of dedication to our heavenly patrons. It is so very important that we take this time each year, on our patronal feast day, to come together as a community and entrust ourselves to the hearts of Jesus and Mary."

The celebration will begin with a solemn Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Chapel, where Fr. Solanus Bonfatti of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal will be the guest homilist.  Holy Mass will be followed by a Eucharistic procession, benediction, and a renewal of the consecration of the college to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

A festive brunch will follow in Saint Lawrence Commons for students, faculty, and staff. At 5:00 p.m., the day will come to a close with solemn vespers, adoration, and benediction in the Chapel of Christ the King.
