Christendom College Announces Five Open Houses for the YearJanuary 28, 2014
President O'Donnell addresses students and families at an Open House.
“Between having the largest incoming class and great turnouts at Open House events this past fall, we decided to add more opportunities for students and their families to come visit Christendom,” said Associate Director of Admissions Zac Inman. “It really is the perfect way to get a feel for the college.”
Christendom is currently receiving a record number of applications for the fall semester, and is gearing up for its annual full-tuition scholarship competition on March 7, where two high school seniors will receive four-year full-tuition academic scholarships. In an effort to attract even more students of high academic ability, Christendom is introducing something new this year by offering a limited number of full-tuition scholarships to students who meet Christendom’s admissions standards and who are named finalists in this year’s National Merit Scholarship competition.
“Christendom continually attracts students with high academic abilities,” says Admissions Director Tom McFadden. “In fact, the average SAT score of our incoming class this year was 1835, the highest we’ve seen in 5 years. By offering a limited number of full-tuition scholarships to National Merit Scholarship competition finalists, we hope to attract even more academic-minded students who are capable of handling our rigorous liberal arts curriculum.”
