Playing in freezing cold temperatures in the 30's, the Christendom men's rugby team defeated the Tigers of Hampden-Sydney College last Friday night during the Crusaders' last home game of the season by a score of 52-0.

Coming off a spectacular win over American University last week, beating the Eagles 54-5, the Crusaders were primed and ready for their match against Hampden-Sydney, excited to take on a team that beat them last season 12-0.

For the majority of the game, the Crusaders were on the offense, keeping the ball and moving it down the field, scoring tries seemingly every 10 minutes or so, to the delight of the huge crowd of fans who came out in the frigid weather to show their support for the team.

With their record now at 2-0, the Crusaders are gearing up to play the Patriots of George Mason on Saturday, March 23, at 1pm. The Crusaders have beaten the Patriots the past two times they have played, and this year, the team is expecting an even bigger margin of victory. They also look forward to playing Loyola Univeristy Maryland (Division III) and Lord Fairfax Community College later in the season.
